Microtel Inns and Suites

This project involved local initiative as part of a division of US Franchise Systems, Inc. It is the first Microtel developed in Iowa.

The franchise team in Atlanta, Georgia had an established prototype, but careful analysis was required to properly adapt the franchise standards to meet the many different conditions that define Iowa and the Midwest.

All applicable codes, unique site conditions and, most importantly, the design preferences of our client had to be fully understood before the necessary design modifications could be made.

As part of a design-build team, extensive coordination between owner, architect and contractor was required to accomplish the successful completion of this design.
