Webster City Middle School Renovation and Expansion

Webster City, Iowa

In cooperation with a large out of state design firm, we provided construction administration and construction oversight for this project.

Most of the existing middle school was torn down in preparation for this new facility. The result was an efficient arrangement of classrooms around a central core library / commons / multi-purpose room. The new facility utilized a pre-engineered steel frame, with infill brick and EIFS exterior walls.

The mechanical design for this facility incorporated a ground source heat pump system. The restrictive site required the ground source heat pump’s well field be placed under the new softball field adjacent to two city streets.
