The growing church congregation had outgrown their existing sanctuary and were forced to relocate worship services to an existing gymnasium. Our design goal was to provide an acoustically balanced, comfortable worship environment.

Working with the acoustics of the gymnasium, our design brought the reverberation time of 3.5 seconds to less than one second so that both parishioner and pastor could hear and be heard. The design added fifty percent more seating to accommodate the full congregation comfortably. We added a raised chancel platform in order to improve lines of sight throughout the sanctuary. This balance of sight and sound greatly enhanced the worshiping experience for this particular congregation.
