The Chester residence showcases the integration of natural daylight and open space to enliven the eating, dining and living areas of the home.

To maintain a light, airy feeling throughout the house, light colored woods were used in the kitchen as well as for all floors and trim work. Dark counter tops help anchor the kitchen as it flows into a two story living room and open hallway and staircase.

Set within a wooded area the all seasons poorch and living room have large windows that are shaded in the summer with dappled light. In winter these same spaces are two of the coziest in the house with rays of sunlight grazing the wood floors.

Contrasting siding and shake shingles give the exterior a natural yet finished texture. The site is delicately landscaped with both hard and soft scape features.
