Hoffman-Stewart Residence Addition/Renovation

This family wanted to add a sun filled porch with a walk out deck to add more living space to their cottage home. The addition has zoned radiant heat flooring which allows the family to use the porch through the fall and into winter. Above, remote controlled skylights make it easy for them to control the interior environment by adjusting the shades and opening and closing the skylights with just a touch of a button. The kitchen was reorganized to include more sunlight, counter space and a breakfast bar. Warm colored woods create an inviting and comfortable space. Custom shelving was designed to connect the living room with the formal living room by creating a continuous bookshelf. It even wraps up and over their piano and stretches around and through doorways. Another unique feature is when the addition was built, an exterior window remained intact so that light would still shine into the living room by way of the sun porch.
